Results Explorer

Results Explorer provides a shared, interactive map for review of Asphalt Intelligence results.

Use Results Explorer to locate completed analyses, flag areas for inspection, and export results into your existing workflows. Users do not need GIS experience to use Results Explorer.

Typical Workflow

Open Results Explorer → Select an Area → Review Results → Investigate → Flag for Inspection → Export → Integrate With Existing Workflows

Prerequisites

1. Open Results Explorer

2. Click on a Marker Near the Desired Inspection Area

3. Select an Area

4. Verify Job Selection with Google Street View

To view any area on the map in Google Street View, right-click the desired area or drag and drop the person icon from near the top of the workspace. This will open a Google Street View tab of that location in your web browser.

5. Choose Export Type

After jobs are selected, go to the Export Panel of the workspace. Asphalt Intelligence supports exports in open data formats including:

6. Export to CSV

Flagged results can be exported as a CSV file for use outside Asphalt Intelligence. Use CSV export to transfer selected results into existing:

7. Export to Georeferenced Image (GeoTIFF)

Asphalt Intelligence output can also be exported as a GeoTIFF for use in GIS software. GeoTIFF files retain their geographic positioning and can be added to GIS projects as raster overlays.

Use GeoTIFF export when you need to perform additional spatial analysis, create maps, archive results, or incorporate Asphalt Intelligence output into an existing GIS workflow.

All Asphalt Intelligence output uses EPSG:3857, the standard pseudo-Mercator projected coordinate system used by nearly all major online map providers, including Google Maps, OpenStreetMap, and Bing Maps.

8. Export Each Selected Job Location to KMZ for Mobile Access in Field

Teams can download the KMZ to easily view job locations in Google Earth for Mobile or similar mobile GIS applications that support KMZ file extensions.

Each job location can be copied and pasted into mapping applications for step-by-step directions. A marker and job name are used to show the centroid of each job polygon.
