Import Asphalt Intelligence Results into QGIS
Asphalt Intelligence results can be opened in QGIS using the official Asphalt Intelligence QGIS plugin.
Overview
Once analysis results have been downloaded from the Asphalt Intelligence Dashboard, the files can be opened or imported into a variety of GIS and CAD software packages. This workflow focuses on QGIS, an open-source desktop GIS application.

Install the Asphalt Intelligence QGIS Plugin
- Download the latest stable QGIS release and start a new project.
- Open QGIS.
- Go to Plugins → Manage and Install Plugins.
- Search for Asphalt Intelligence.
- Click Install Plugin.
- Make sure the checkbox next to Asphalt Intelligence is enabled.
Load Asphalt Intelligence Output
- Launch the plugin from the QGIS toolbar or Plugins menu.
- Click Start Setup.
- Click OK when the dialog appears.
- Click Yes to load ESRI World Imagery as a background layer.
- Confirm that EPSG:3857 is shown in the lower-right corner of QGIS.
- Click Add Asphalt Intelligence Output (.tif).
- Navigate to a downloaded and extracted Asphalt Intelligence output file.
- Click Open.
Once loaded, QGIS will zoom to the GeoTIFF location and display the analysis results. Additional output files can be loaded at the same time and turned on or off in the Layers panel.
