Draw an Area of Interest in InSight Viewer
This guide explains how to select an area to analyze in the Asphalt Intelligence InSight Viewer.
Overview
In order to analyze roadway imagery, an Area of Interest must first be identified in the Asphalt Intelligence viewer.
Steps
- Open the InSight Viewer.
- Click Zoom to Draw Polygon.
- The viewer will automatically zoom to the resolution required for processing.
- While the polygon tool is active, zooming and panning are locked until the polygon is completed and processed, or until you click Start Over.
- Click to place points, or corners, of the polygon to be processed.
- Close the polygon by clicking the first point again.
- Enter a job name at the top of the screen.
- Click OK.
- Once processing is complete, choose whether to review the results or process another polygon.
Processing Additional Areas
To process another polygon, click Process Another. The view and zoom lock will be released, and the previous polygon will be shown in a green outline to make it easier to draw the next polygon.
The five most recent previous Areas of Interest are shown in green and summarized in the upper-right corner for reference. These can be turned off by unchecking the box next to them, or zoomed into by clicking the magnifying glass.
